The Schnecksville Song
In 1990 (our 75th Reunion), one of our own Schecks,
Darlene Schneck, wrote a song about Schnecksville,
and all it has to offer. Below are the words to
the song and a video clip of Darlene singing the
song during our reunion.
Words to the Song:
- If you're headed west on I-78
take the
309 exit and don't hesitate to visit the
town just over the hill the wonderful town
of Schnecksville. (chorus)
- We've got a college, a shopping mall too
and if you're ever bored, well there's even
a zoo There's plenty to see, and plenty to
do in the wonderful town of Schnecksville.
(chorus)
- We are descendents of Adam who came
and
founded this town, and gave us our name.
We may not have much, but we're glad to be Dutch
in the wonderful town of Schnecksville (chorus)
Chorus:
- Schnecksville, Schnecksville
so many
years and still going strong Schnecksville,
Schnecksville I'm headed back home, to where
I belong!
