Hello Schnecks!, My daughter, Diane and I, just returned home after our visit with many friends during the 90th Schneck Reunion. It was such fun!
"Im Schneckengang" was published in 1985
so we have two generations of Schnecks that are not in the Schneck history. Help us get your family records up-dated for the Schneck files.Please send me an e-mail and I will send the proper papers to fill out and return to me.
I am too old to promise a revision of the book but I will see that the Schneck Association has a copy of any new records. Let's take the time now to bring Adam Schneck's descendants together in 2009. Please let me hear from you.

You and me, we have the same ancestors.
Adam Schneck, who settled 1756 in PA came out of my family.
I didnt know about this till I came 1996 the first time to the USA.
I breed German Shepherd Dogs and this way I came to Seattle and holded there a seminar about dogtraining.
Till now I got invited to 19 States of the USA to do seminars or handle dogs in big shows. I hope that one day I can come and see Schnecksville.

Left coast branch of Schnecks is centered in San Jose with extensions in Portland (son Mike, father of 6 Schneck boys) and in L.A. (son Pete, father of twins, including son and daughter)(16 grandkids total). My grandfather Schneck (Jewish) came from Prussia maybe around 1880, bypassed Schnecksville and headed for San Francisco in time for the 1909 earthquake which my father remembered. Any info would be of interest.

I found my dad.He got to talk to his grandson Samuel.

My father served as one of your presidents, Rev. Harper Lawrence Schneck. I moved to Rhode Island to coach the women's volleyball program at The University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI in 1981 and have been here ever since. I remember going to the Schneck Reunion when I was a small boy when I lived in Boyertown, Pa. My father moved from Boyertown to Allentown where he served as the minister for The Faith United Church of Christ. After retirement Harper moved to none other then Schnecksville. I truly miss my Dad each and every day! I have been married for 22 years to Lisa Schneck who's madden name was Lisa Pearce, who was originally from Yorba Linda, CA. who moved to Barrington, RI. We have a daughter Ashley who is a sophomore at Bryant College here in Rhode Island, and a son Cameron who is a junior at The Prout High School in Wakefield, RI.

I would like my family to reunion with the Schneck's sometime....maybe this August!

My name is Donald Schneck. I am the son of Ralph Schneck and Norma (Purcell) Schneck. Dad was born and raised in Posey County, Indiana, which seems to be the home of the Indiana Schnecks. They have a family reunion about every two years or so, but they keep getting smaller and smaller every year. I know of another branch of the Schneck family that was established in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. However, all those folks either moved away or died off years ago. There are several older mansions in Mt. Carmel that have "Schneck" carved in the granite steps leading to the front door. As I understand the migration history, the Indiana Schnecks were established when one of the Pennsylvania Schnecks, a horse thief, fled the area to avoid being hanged (there may have been more than one horse thief in the family that was on the run... I've heard it told both ways). He took all his family and several of his brothers west. Some settled near Poseyville while others went on to Illinois and other points in the midwest. I know that at least one was eventually caught and hanged someplace in northern Indiana (I've heard Ft. Wayne, but I can't verify that).

My maiden name was Schneck.I was born 1/15/1975 Heather Marie Schneck. My dad the last I heard lived in Coudersport, PA. His name is Ronald Galen Schneck and he was born in 1950. His dad is Allen Schneck and I know he had 3 brother. I know 2 of their names Gary and Allen Jr. Allen Jr. was dad to my cousins that i went to school with one was Kevin Schneck. I was hoping for some info on my Schneck side ad maybe to find out if my dad still lives in Coudersport ,Pa so I ca let him know he ha a grandson. I have not spoken to him since 1996 or 1997. Iwas in a bad car accident in 2003 and don't even remember much about him. please any help or info is very appreciated. Oh and Ronald was married to my mom Helen Mable Brandt sometime in 1973 ad they divorced about 2-3 yrs later. my brother's name is Clinton Wesley Schneck born 9/30/1973.

Hello all. I think it is so fun that a town is named Schnecksville! I am from Ohio and now live in Florida and I have not known any Schnecks I was not closely related to. Well, actually there was a man named Schneck in my law school class, but that has been the rare exception.

my family and I live in the southern part of Germany. I don't know if anyone of my relatives had gone to America a long time ago. It is funny to see, how many Schnecks there are celebrating their name an tradition.
